presently resides in a small quite community. Here she enjoys focusing on family, community, personal growth, fitness and gratitude.
Growing up in a neo-hippy family, Alyssa has been raised with alternative therapies and modalities, such as macrobiotics, juicing, food as a healer and energy healing. During her high school years, she studied iridology and herbology, in her time off, becoming certified by The Canadian Academy of Iridology and Herbology (1998).
She holds many certifications in the world of health and fitness; Group Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, Nutrition and Wellness Specialist and has over 12 years experience in the field. Presently she is preparing to further certify in the art and instruction of Spinning (indoor cycling) and Yoga (both Hatha and Kundalini).
Taking action in the community, high-schools and colleges, Alyssa presents workshops and lectures on body image and self acceptance. Her focus is to create a safe environment where teens, youth and young adults can openly face and speak about their challenges, while finding new skills, comradeship and strength.
She has successfully completed her level 1 and level 2 Life Coach Training under the study of world renown health and wellness coach Pam Rigden (2006). And is as well, a certified NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) practitioner, and diploma recipient recognized by the International NLP Trainers Association (INLPTA) (2009).
Alyssa is a continuous student in life. She loves to learn, stay current and be open to modalities, philosophies, possibilities, and whatever the world brings her way
She believes that each one of us, can use an extra hand from time to time. Perhaps it's just an ear to really listen and not to judge, or to know that there is someone who supports you fully, and that there are techniques available that can help propel you to further success and personal healing.
