Alyssa Huntley I presently live in a small quite community, where I enjoy focusing on family, community, personal growth, fitness and gratitude. Growing up in a neo-hippy family, I have been raised with alternative therapies and modalities, such as macrobiotics, juicing, food as a healer and energy healing. During my high school years, I studied iridology &herbology, becoming certified by The Canadian Academy of Iridology and Herbology (1998). I hold many certifications in the world of health and fitness; Group Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, Nutrition and Wellness Specialist and have over 12 years experience in the field. Recently I have been certified in the art & instruction of Spinning (indoor cycling) and am currenly in teacher training as a RTY Yoga Teacher (Hatha). Taking action in my community, high-schools and colleges, I present workshops and lectures on body image and self acceptance. My focus is to create a safe environment where teens & adults can openly speak about their challenges, while finding new skills, support and strength. I have successfully completed my level 1 & level 2 Life Coach Training, under the study of world renown health and wellness coach Pam Rigden (2006); and am a certified NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) practitioner, and diploma recipient recognized by the International NLP Trainers Association (INLPTA) (2009). I'm a continuous student in life.I love to learn, stay current and be open to whatever the world brings my way My beliefs are that each one of us, can use an extra hand from time to time. Perhaps just an ear to truly listen and not judge, or to know that there is someone who supports you fully. There are many techniques available to help propel you towards success and personal healing, and it's an honour for me to be able to share these gifts with others. |
